I purchased these and fell in love with them. A lot easier than using a rag or ordinary sponge.

I have two grills, and I love them, but the sponges deteriorate too quickly. The two sections seperate, and the sponge is useless. I think if the sponge use is good for for the grill it should be useful for a longer time. At $2.50 each (for the 6 pack), I think they should be of better quality.

I found that the sponge construct falls apart in time. I have found the best use with the blue part of the sponge anyway. The black, scrubbing part is unneeded , hence I think you can get along with a solid blue material as thick as the old combination.
