I got this from my in-laws for Christmas 2010. I actually asked for a different make/model, but my mother-in-law knew I really wanted this one so she paid the extra money so I could have what I really wanted. So far I have only used it to make waffles, but they were excellent. VERY easy clean up!

Removable Plates

I hate the upper plate. I don't have a dishwasher and it's very hard to clean by hand. you don't see the stuck foor in the corners till it drys, and they don't sell a plate like the bottom one to fit the upper.

Great Grill

I bought this grill 2 months ago. I previously had a smaller one without removeable plates. This grill is great if on a diet. Cooks meats without grease or fat being needed to coat the non stick plates. Easy to clean. remove the plates and soak in hot soapy water. It's a breeze. I just can't understand why the two different grilling plates. I like the normal plate with the straight ridges. I will try to buy a replacement for the upper plate. Otherwise well worth the price.

I got this today at BJ's and I love it only thing that would make this grill better is if it had a Bake plate. But other then that it is awsome

Use this grill about everyday. Wish I had something other than the herringbone pattern for the top grill plate. Maybe a flat grill plate.

It would be much easier to clean if the top plate were either slotted (like the botton plate) or flat (like the grilling plate) Enjoy the grill. HATE the clean up.

No, the plates are not interchangeable. We wouldn't be complaining about it if they were.

I believe this is the grill that I have. I need a replacement plate part #TSK2610#D. It is the lower flat plate. How do I get a replacement as I dropped it and the handle broke.

My dad has this.. or maybe its that G5 one.. they look the same and we use it for dinner like every night.. it's perfect for steak, chicken, pork.. whatever.. and the plates are inter-changeable.. you can use the ones for the top that you use on the bottom.. use the gridle for the top if you want a flat plate. It's kind of obvious.
